It's average/normal: An ultrasound is often done at the end of the 1st trimester, between 11 and 14 weeks, to assess thickness of fluid which has collected at the nape of the fetal neck. Your result is normal. Fetuses with some chromosomal abnormalities including Down Syndrome have greater nuchal thicknesses. This ultrasound can also help assess the age of the fetus. Good luck!
