That is correct: What you read was incorrect.. toothpaste is for teeth, not for the skin. So many people post similar stories on this forum. In the future, use products made specifically for pimples on the skin, and see your physician if you have chemical burns.

Toothpaste: I don't know where this toothpaste on zit thing came from but this is a bad idea. As you found out it can hurt your skin. Toothpaste has many chemicals that are irritating to,skin. The area will heal in a couple of days. From now on keep the toothpaste for your teeth.

Not recommended: Using toothpaste on an already inflamed pimple can cause more redness and irritation. ask your doctor for a better solution. Take care.
