See Endocrinologist: See an Endocrinologist before you see a surgeon. If you are hyperthyroid (explaining the fast heart rate), that needs to be treated, and not necessarily by surgery. How big is the cyst? If small, it may be of no concern, and the thyroid cyst may have nothing to do with your swallowing.
