Could be blocked: urinary catheter could be blocked by a clot or a kink.or You may be experiencing bladder spasmcaused by the ballon in your bladder which holds the catheter in place. Make sure you clean your hands before you check your catheter check if there are any kinks in tubes look in the urine sack for any changes in color of urine and call you doctor for help with the spasm there are medications for that

Catheter blocked: From your description, it sounds like your catheter is/was becoming blocked. If this is happens more than once, I would call your doctor to find out why. Also catheters are high risks for urinary tract infections so if you have pain with urination, make sure that you have a urinalysis to rule out an infection.

Blockage: You had a temporary blockage in the catheter which could have been from kinking,sediment, or a blood clot or small stone that dissolved or was passed. If your urine is not good and clear,notify your physician.
