16 mm: in a pre-menopausal woman an endometrial lining that exceeds 16 mm in sickness can be considered too thick in the sense that there may be pathology behind it. A dilatation and curettage (D&C) during which the tissue is removed from the uterus and sent to pathology for further evaluation is in order.
