Could be radiculitis: In many cases shoulder conditions irritate part of the brachial plexus and can cause a radiculitis (nerve irritation) or a radiculopathy (sensory or motor changes). Thus an MRI and EMG are in order from a Neurologist or PMR doctor.Thoracic outlet is also a possibility though an Internal Medicine doctor should rule out Cardiac and GERD issues as well before we start Physical therapy.keep me updated

Spasm: The muscle along the inner shoulder blade, toward the spine, can very painfully spasm and cramp. This can resolve with gentle massage and warm compresses, but sometimes requires medication injection. Your comment about weird left arm sensations, however, suggests that a nerve injury could be causing all of this. See your clinician to discuss diagnostic and treatment options.

Unrelated: A patient with gastric reflux, who also happens to have a "kink in the left shoulder blade(scapula) and pins and needles feeling (paresthesias) in left arm, has two different problems. Gastric reflux would not cause the other symptoms. An irritation of a branch of the Supraclavicular nerve(neuralgia) could cause these symptoms. So too could a compression of cervical spinal nerves> bit.ly/1yPwhcG
