Tolerating Liquids?: If your child is tolerating liquids and urinating normally try changing him to a bland diet. This includes bread, rice, applesauce, toast. Avoid dairy products If the vomiting persists, he cannot keep liquids down or he develops other symptoms he should be seen by his doctor.

Vomiting: Can be multiple reasons as to why he's throwing up. Likely will be a stomach virus. Sometimes in this age group, vomiting can be the first sign of strep, even without a sore throat. If persists by am, get him evaluated.
