Suddenly have pain in my left knee, especially on the back. very painful when first standing up to walk, but eases up. feels tight. any help?

Meniscus tear: it is painful to squat down on that knee? Do you notice any swelling behind the knee? It could be a torn meniscus. Ice and home exercises might be helpful. If you have locking, catching, or pain with squatting you might need to see your doctor for further evaluation
