A member asked:

Upper abdomen pain. tums (calcium carbonate) and warm bath didn't help. ongoing for about 3 hours?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Upper abdominal pain: Unfortunately there just too many possibilities in that part of your body to be of much help without a hands-on exam. Of course we think of the most common things first like indigestion. Some of other possibilities include peptic ulcer disease, non-ulceraive dyspepsia, gastritis, gallbladder disease, indigestion, pancreatitis, esphageal reflex or esophageal spasm. See your PCP for help.
