A single neuron: stores no information. It is the interaction of many neurons at the post synaptic element and beyond (up to the axon hillock or terminal segment) that determines what a neuron in series will do when stimulated. (read about generator potentials, temporal and spatial summation, the all or none response- then look into non conventional synaptic interactions)
