A member asked:

Took map 8 weeks ago and have had 3 irregular periods within this time. i have breast tendereness now and neg hpt. is that dose still affecting me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Medroxyprogesterone: If by MAP you mean medroxyprogesterone acetate the answer is yes. It is available as pills called provera and these should be out of your system by now and your periods should be getting back to your normal. What that would be and how long it may take depends on the reason you were given it. It is also available as an injection,DepoProvera, for contraception and lasts for 13 weeks.
