Yes: Mold allergy can lead to severe asthma. Some people also develop pneumonia -like symptoms from an immune response to mold exposure and the condition is called Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis which may lead to permanent lung scarring if the exposure is prolonged. I urge you to get out of the place ASAP and do not return until the water damage has been fully fixed until proven otherwise.
