Embolism: It sounds like your doctors suspect endocarditis which may throw septic emboli into the brain which causes ischemia or infarction of brain tissue and depending on where the tissue damage is, you would develop symptoms similar to what you describe. Are you on broad spectrum iv abc? are you on anti-coagulants? why are you waiting for a brain MRI? that should be done urgently to eval brain insult.
