Benzoyl peroxide: I usually recommend benzoyl peroxide for the acne as a first line treatment. If that is not helping you could ask your doctor for a prescription of Retin-A or depending on the type of acne (comedonal, pustular, or cystic) you may need antibiotics. See your MD if it is not getting better. As far as the discoloration of skin, I would see your doctor, because there are many causes for discoloration
