A member asked:

Are uterian transplants safe? who does them in the us?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Experimental: These are still very experimental and have many risks including the side-effects of the drugs used to prevent rejection. They are not widely available and the safety and efficacy are not established yet. So far there has only been one reported successful pregnancy after a uterine transplant. In other words, they are not yet ready for prime time.
