A member asked:

Healthy young male, 23 y/o born with one kidney on his last blood test had potassium lvl 5.12(upper limit 5.1). what can he do to lower it by himself?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stop worrying: Lab reference ranges are set so that a few percent of healthy folks fall outside on either side. At age 23, you need to be concerned with getting your career underway, forming relationships, perhaps finding somebody special. The last thing you need to be doing is obsessing about your labs. Be thankful for good health. Stay fit and enjoy being young.
