Depends.: This may be normal response to infection or even medications, but could also represent something bad. There is no way to tell with such limited info. Need to look at the rest of the numbers RBC / platelets / etc.

It's not normal: It could indicate something bad. It depends on what else is found and of course the state of the patient and their surrounding health issues otherwise. It could be a serious infection.....hopefully treatable. It could be an early indicator of a bone marrow / blood cancer. It could even be lab error. Put it together with everything else and discuss it with the doctor on board. Zmd
