A member asked:

Crp (non hs) has been 24 mg/l for last 3 months. could be hep c related - does this alone suggest hi risk for heart problems? worried how can i lower?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Get treated for hepC: CRP is not an issue at this time. Get your hepatitis C treated and once the virus is eliminated, you can be retested for CRP a few months after that. Please note that effective treatments are available and you should consult a hepatologist or infectious disease specialist at your earliest.
