A member asked:

If 5 separate 12 hr fasting gluc tests, spaced out by months, only showed one level at 110, and the rest around 95-99, am i likely to be pre-diabetic?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No, but close: Hi. Being a scientist, I'd have to go with the preponderance of the evidence, and say I would not label you prediabetic with 11 normal values and one outlier. Nevertheless, your normal values are close to or at the normal limit, and you did have that one abnormal value, so it may not take much from here to firmly make you prediabetic. Eat healthily, exercise regularly, and maintain normal weight.
