Many causes; danger!: "Brain fog" is too vague a term to do much with, but a "clouded sensorium" is a medical concept in which a person is poorly oriented, or experiencing incoherence of thought. Since the world is a dangerous place, and an inability to think clearly puts you at great risk, it is ALWAYS "dangerous". The causes include anything that disrupts normal function of the brain... drugs/toxins being most common

Many causes: lack of sleep, depression, thyroid disease, dementia, old age, autoimmune disease, head bleed, drugs, environmental exposure, etc . . . many causes. Consult with your personal Physician as soon as possible for further workup
