Leg pain: You have the classical characteristic of what is called exertional comparmental syndrome, and usually due to the increasecomparmental pressure of the leg during exercise. The diagnosis is made by measurments of the comparment pressure during exercise.Blood test, x-ray are negatives.

Testing depends...: "shin splint" typically refers to pain on the front of the lower leg, . Pain in this area may come from medial tibial stress syndrome (mtss), stress fractures, or compartment syndrome. Some of the above are best noted on x-ray, some on mri, & pressure testing is required for compartment syndrome diagnosis. Treatment options to start at home = rice. If pain persists, see physician.-drmarkgalland.Com.
