Not best option ...: Medication that is currently available to aid with weight loss is only slightly effective: one type works to suppress appetite using amphetamine-type drugs which can be habit forming & need to be used very carefully. Another type inhibits fat absorption often causing GI side effects. Best method is tried and true: figure out needed calories per day, reduce by 300-500/day, exercise 45 min daily:)

Try to avoid: focusing on losing weight with medications. Realize that no medications are really suitable in the long run. You're best bet will continue to be to try to better regulate your diet(particularly portion control) and to incorporate as much activity as you can tolerate.
