Stress injury: You say you run as a hobby. Have you just started? Do you warm up before you start? Have you twisted your knee or ankle recently? It sounds like some kind of over use injury or stress injury/ fracture. See if resting for two weeks, taking over the counter maprosyn , (Advil), with food for a week, and then resuming at a slower pace initially resolves the issue. If not= doc eval, poss x-ray
