Mitral & AorticValv: There is no evidence that individuals with MVP with MR are at an increased risk for Aortic Valve disease. Sometimes there is a sound or click associated with a Bicuspid aortic valve, but clicks are also associated with Mitral valve prolapse. Both of these would be seen on an echocardiogram which is used to diagnose the mitral valve prolapse.
