A member asked:

How do you know if the pains in your chest is heart related? i am 60, smoker high bp 2 strokes i have been getting chest pains everyday for awhile now

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See your doctor !: If these are symptoms that occur with activity and resolve with rest, they are very typical of pains related to heart disease called angina. You do not appear to be taking nitroglycerin. Your have multiple cardiac risk factors, so even if you have chest pains that don't follow the pattern above, you need an evaluation soon! If these symptoms worsen in intensity or frequency, call 911.
