Need more fiber: Your stools are dry, due to inadequate fiber and water. You should have a bowel movement every day, it should be ten inches long, and float. If you're not doing that, you most likely need more fluid and fiber. Take 1-2 tablespoons of psyllium husks (Konsyl) in a glass of water--follow with a second glass of water, every day. Adjust the dose based on your "output." Also, magnesium and prunes.
