Review this with: Your pulmonologists. Much of you activity restrictions depends on what type of interstitial lung disease that you have and how severe it is. But an ILD diagnosis doesn't mean that you definitively can't scuba dive.

Lung dz scuba diving: If your pulmonologist believes it would be safe, given your exam, history, studies, severity level, you can. Most scuba fatalities result from difficulties with judgement or physical fitness. http://www.scuba-doc.com/mdxphys.htm

How severe?: If you can engage in physical activity of the same intensity as scuba diving, there is no reason you can not engage in scuba diving. To be safe, it would be prudent to check with your doctor who knows more about your health than just what you mentioned.
