Out of nowhere small to large red welts have appeared on my daughters legs and now arms. Before seeing the doctor tomorrow is there anything i can gi?

NO: The "red streak" means LYMPHATIC spread of a skin infection! You need an antibiotic. Go to urgent care center or ER. Not a good idea to wait since its SATURDAY!! Good luck Hope this helps Dr Z

Apply direct pressure: For 10 minutes after washing area well with soap and water. If bleeding continues to ooze after ten minutes get checked at ER or UC clinic.

Red Stripe's A Beer!: The red streak means that your first defense at the site of injury is failing. Your next defense,at the lymph nodes,may work but it's taking a chance,especially if you have other problems(?diabetes).If the streak manages to extend all the way up to your groin, the time for waiting is over! If you are going to wait,clean out that wound thoroughly with soap and water.You may also need a tetanus shot

Could be bad.: A loud pop in the knee after a sudden movement (especially a pivot or cut) raises red flags for a ligament tear and/or meniscus injury. If you didn't have any swelling, significant pain or instability in the knee after hearing the pop, i'd worry less. If you had swelling and pain right after the injury, see your family doctor! good luck!

Get care NOW: Exposed hardware is a very dangerous situation. If there is not already an infection you are at high risk of developing one. This could require removal of the hardware. See an orthopedic surgeon asap.

Hmmmmm: You need to see your doc-- while it may well heal if very small and other factors are favorable, it is a set up for infection to have exposed hardware, so i would not go it alone.

Yes: Tell your mom right away. The wound needs to be cleaned and dressed. Show your mom in case you need stitches or a tetanus shot. I am assuming that you this is a self-laceration. Get up the courage to tell your mom now. Take care.
