Yes: Sensitivity to condoms, birth control pills, Nuva ring etc can increase your chances for infection. Luckily this is not a problem for most people.

It may: Certainly, the use of tampons , especially if left in too long (or lost/forgotten in your vaginal area) can increase your risk of serious infection such as toxic shock syndrome. Generally, if you are prone to yeast infections, pads are also recommended over tampons. Of course, if you are diligent with removing tampons timely, and are generally practicing good vaginal hygiene, tampons can be safe.

May: Affect some like yeast infection or cause irritation. Avoiding douching and keep area clean and washing under wear in hot water and eating yogurt may help reduce incidence. Also practice wiping from front to back to reduce risk of UTI
