Culture/amribiotics: Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is an infection of the Fallopian tubes caused by untreated STD like gonorrhea or chlamydia. The symptoms include discharge, pelvic pain, fever etc. If you have these symptoms you should be evaluated immediately. Untread PID can be associated with tubal scarring, infertility and ectopic pregnancy. Early treatment can prevent these complications.
