Why does a 2-month-old need six shots?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Progress: Vaccines are given first when the baby is old enough for them to work. The number reflects decades of work developing the vaccines and more combining them. Sometimes we can give some combination vaccines and reduce the total number of sticks. Unfortunately, the germs we are protecting against are often the most lethal in early infancy.Any delay could be deadly.
