Injury: You may have injured your heel and it may be swollen or creating p;antar fasciitis. You should see a doctor if the pain is that bad.

Plantar fascitis: Heel pain can be caused by many things. A majority of heel pain is due to plantar fascitis. Other diagnosis include stress fractures, arthritis, medications, diabetes, to name a few.
