A member asked:

What is the difference between isotonic and isometric muscle contractions?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: isometric muscle contraction is without joint motion. for example a quad set where you tighten the muscle in a fixed position. isotonic involves joint rom with a resistance at the end of the fulcrum(for example lifting an ankle weight while extending the knee joint)
