What is stage 4 metastatic adenocarcinoma? how is it treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Metastatic tumor: The treatment of metastatic adenocarcinoma depends on the nature of the primary, the site of metastasis and the degree of metastatic tumor. Pancreatic Ca with one lesion in the liver is unresectable and treated by chemo such as Gemzar (gemcitabine) Abraxane. Colon Ca with one lesion to liver is resected. When any met is unresectable chemo is always used alone or in combination with RT.
