ANTIINFLAMATORY : Prednisone is a potent antiinflamatory agent. In a taper over 8 days it can treat a rash IE SHINGLES/ Astma Flare/PLEURITIS/Pericarditis. Used over a longer period of time it treats many autoimmune diseases like Lupus /RA/MS and Sarcoidosis .
