Withdrawal symptoms: Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) is an SNRI antidepressant used to treat depression and anxiety. In some of my patients, they have found that stopping it too suddenly has caused very uncomfortable agitation syndromes. It eventually fades away, but may take a few weeks. Also, their depression and anxiety will return. Please discuss with your treating physician why you would like to stop your treatment.
