Airway: Everyone has a hard part and a soft part of the palate (roof of the mouth). If you are having trouble breathing you should see a doctor right away. There are many conditions that could cause this, including airway obstruction in the back of the mouth and throat, lung disease, and heart disease. I would need more details to begin figuring which it is. You should be seen.

I'm having difficulty breathing with my mouth and I feel pain in the back of my throat. What symptoms are these?
Could difficulty swallowing be more than an allergy? I woke up this morning with difficultly breathing out of my mouth and swallowing. After gagging and vomiting, i was able to take sips of "hot" water, which kinda helped with what seemed like swelling.
It feels like even with my mouth closed i'm breathing in cool air, does that indicate a problem with my lungs ?
