what causes a blood clot in the leg?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Nima Yavari
16 years experience Internal Medicine
Several factors : can cause a blood clot in the leg. Most commonly when the blood doesn't flow well or pools in an area of the leg during prolonged inactivity, the blood can become "sticky" due to clotting factors and can form a clot.
