Unsure: An elevated MSAFP would be concerning for a neural tube defect (spina bifida), but is also associated with omphalocele and gastroschisis. Your doctor will discuss all these concerns including the appropriate evaluation (possible amniocentesis vs HROB consult) if the MSAFP is elevated.
