Many: There are many different causes of pulmonary hypertension and various treatments. Surgery can be an option if it is due to clots in the pulmonary arteries. In addition, oral medications, inhaled medications, or continuous 24 hour medications can be given under the skin or into an IV line. Finally, lung transplant is an option if a patient qualifies and their pulmonary hypertension is progressing.
