A member asked:

What are the chances of the baby's umbilical cord moving off my cervix before i deliver?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: If you have a marginal previa, only slightly crossing the birth canal, it may move out of the way, but would likely still tear and cause life threatening bleeding.A complete previa is unlikely to move. I would prepare for a c-section delivery at the first sign of any labor. Stay in close contact with your treatment team and have a plan in place.
