Neurologic and fever: Paraneoplastic syndromes are rare disorders triggered by altered immune system response to a neoplasm. They are defined as clinical syndromes involving nonmetastatic systemic effects. They arise from tumor secretion of hormones,peptides or cytokines arising in tumor and while fever is the most common presentation, several clinical situations observed simulating Cushing and Carcinoid syndrome.
