A member asked:

What are signs of a problem with my thyroid?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nothing specific: Hi. Signs (something you and the physician can observe; vs. symptoms, which are something you report) seldom accompany thyroid disease these days. In Graves' disease, we may see characteristic eye findings, sometimes goiter, sometimes skin/hair changes, cardiovascular things, others. In hypothyroidism, goiter may be seen, skin/hair changes, etc. Symptoms are not specific, but signs can be more so
