Emphysema: is a disease of the lung which is either caused by smoking or a genetic disorder. Emphysema destroys lung tissue and creates holes called blebs that look like Swiss cheese holes. By themselves, they are not dangerous, but they can lead to pneumothorax (collapsed lung). Since they are associated with smoking, they can be the location of future lung cancer. So please STOP SMOKING.
