Should my mom go to the er for fluid around her heart?

Pericardial effusion: If your Mom has pericardial effusion or 'fluid around her heart', you presumably were told this by her Dr. You ask the Dr. what is the cause and the meaning of her fluid and does she need to go to ER. For many people it will go away by itself with no ill effects but for some it is very serious. No way to know here with what you provided whether she needs ER.
