Wow, I'm sorry: Hi. Is he at UIHC? I hope so. Diabetes can cause kidney failure. Liver failure can cause kidney failure, but neither diabetes nor kidney failure per se cause liver failure. Do you know the cause of the liver failure? He is obviously very sick. Hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst. I'm so sorry. Best to him, you, and your family.
