Yes: Actually, any virus that causes a fever can cause a stiff/painful neck as well as other muscle & joint aches.Treatment, if your stomach can tolerate it, is often NSAIDS like ibuprofen or naproxen.Those may be too harsh for sick stomach.Try moist heat to neck.If neck pain severe, don't hesitate to call doctor.About 90% of meningitis cases are from common stomach viruses.
