Refractory HBP: A stenotic renal artery may cause very severe high blood pressure that is unresponsive to multiple blood pressure meds. The stenosis may need to be relieved with stenting or bypass surgery, or in some cases, nephrectomy.

Renal HTN QOL: 36 asks how does severe renal HTN affect one's quality of life (QOL)? I assume you are talking about high blood pressure caused by renal failure. As a major way to control this type of BP one must restrict salt if you like salt this is a problem. Other meds for HTN can affect QOL. Stroke, heart failure and heart disease are likely things down the line that will impact QOL. Get BP to goal to avoid.
