Are there shots for spinal stenosis?

Not effective: Spinal stenosis is an anatomical narrowing of the vertebral canal, and shots do not widen the area. Am singularly unimpressed by injections to treat this condition, and find exercise and/or surgery to be far superior.

Yes: The most common shots used in spinal stenosis are known as epidural steroid injections. While the results do vary, some patients can get several months to even over a year with epidural steroid injections.

YesForTempPainRelief: Shots may help with the pain in some&may last for few weeks Shots are given in the spinal epidural space by Pain Medicine SpecialistThe shots will not cure the condition but are helpful for Pain Control only. These shots are indicated if other non surgical therapy including Physical therapy is unsuccessful. But it lasts only few weeks and has to be given again and again. Surgery is only way to cure
