Unreliable: As a pathologist, let me reassure you that this test is famously unreliable -- the immune system is a chaotic system, and technical problems with the test can make results turn out wrong. Don't let a "sed rate" that doesn't fit the rest of the picture be a barrier to needed diagnosis / treatment.
